Check Your Application Status

If you have submitted an application electronically, you can check the status of that application. To begin, sign back into the same web page that you used to apply. The application you submitted is available for browsing during the UNCG Graduate School Application Process.

  • Applications in Process are online application forms that have not been completed by the applicant.
  • Submitted Applications indicates applications that we have received but not yet begun processing.
  • Processed Applications are applications which have been received and the process started. At this point, applications may appear as missing materials, or as complete and under review, or complete with a decision.

If you have completed the online application and wish to check on the status, select your application from Processed Applications. Look first at the field labeled "Application Status". This field indicates the current status of your application. There are three possible values: Decision Made, Departmental Review, or Incomplete.

Decision Made. Your application has been processed and a decision made. The actual decision is not listed here. You will be notified by the University.

Departmental Review. The Graduate School has received your application and all supporting materials, including (but not limited to) transcripts and test scores. The application has been processed, and the appropriate department is currently reviewing your credentials.

Incomplete. The Graduate School has not received all required supporting materials (for example, application fee, test scores or transcripts).

If your application is listed as Incomplete, scroll down the screen until you see the "Requirements" heading. Each item listed here that does not have a receive date has notyet been received by The Graduate School. Your application cannot be sent for departmental review until it is complete.

Please contact The Graduate School at (336) 334-5596 if you have questions that are not addressed on this web page.
