Information Sessions

The Graduate School offers two Information Sessions each academic year to prospective graduate students so that they may learn more about Graduate School in general as well as their program of interest.

Upcoming Information Sessions

Please check back later for the dates of upcoming Information Sessions.

Information Sessions are designed for individuals who have not yet applied for admission to The Graduate School to provide an opportunity to meet with faculty representatives from academic departments and to ask your specific questions about degree programs, requirements, the application process, and financial aid.

The Spring 2012 Graduate School Information Session will begin at 6pm in the Elliott University Center (with check-in beginning at 5:15pm) and should end by 8-8:30pm.

-->

The information session will include an introductory/welcome session with The Graduate School, as well as breakout sessions from which you may choose to attend. (Last semester's information session included breakout sessions on Life as a Graduate Student at UNCG, Building a Strong Graduate Application, and a session with the Deans and Directors of The Graduate School.) You will conclude the evening by meeting with a representative from the department you specify when registering, if available.

Registering for the Information Session

Registration is necessary to ensure an academic department representative is available to meet with you. If you do not register to attend, it is not possible to know with which program you are interested in meeting, thus we cannot guarantee there will be an academic department representative in attendance.

If you do not currently have a VIP page, simply create one to access this event RSVP. You must fill the requested information in its entirety when creating a VIP page or you will be prompted to submit additional information upon your first log in. If this is the case, simply submit the appropriate information to reach the event RSVP in the General Graduate School information page.

Confirmation and directions will be sent out during the two weeks prior to the Information Session.

If you have additional questions, please contact us at inquiries@uncg.edu.

(The Information Session differs from the Graduate School Friday Open House Sessions in these important ways: The Information Session is not limited in number, whereas each Open House is more intimate and limited to 20 registrants. The Information Session does not include a campus tour, whereas each Open House does. The Information Session includes a potential meeting with a representative from an academic department and breakout information sessions on various topics, whereas an Open House does not.)
