Also, visit the websites for the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), the CLASS is a system for observing and assessing the interactions between teachers and children in classrooms. Check out the new Toddler version for children ages 15 to 36 months of age. The National Center for Research on Early Childhood a collaborative partnership among UVA, UCLA, UNC - Chapel Hill, and UNCG funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education, to conduct research, disseminate research findings, and conduct leadership activities aimed at improving the quality of early childhood education across the United States. As members of the leadership team for this project Dr. Scott-Little and I are examining the supervision and evaluation of student teachers across several states.
