The Department of HDFS and the Department of Specialized Education Services (SES) in the School of Education jointly offer a Master of Education (non-thesis, Advanced Masters) degree program in "Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development in Birth-Kindergarten" (BK-ISED). The BK-ISED program prepares graduate students for diverse roles in educational and community settings. The program calls for a minimum of 39 semester hours of course work beyond the Baccalaureate degree, and prepares graduate students for diverse roles in educational and community settings. A written comprehensive examination of core content knowledge must be passed near the end of the student's program of study. Required and elective course requirements are listed below.
