Human Development and Family Studies is Hiring!
HDFS is pleased to be searching for two new faculty members.  The first position is for a new Assistant or Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education.  We are seeking a colleague whose interests focus on teaching young children from diverse backgrounds, culturally appropriate practice in early childhood programs, developing/implementing culturally sensitive curricula, and/or related topics.  Two excellent candidates have interviewed.  The second position is for an associate or full professor faculty member with expertise in biological and/or neural processes linked with young children's early learning processes, broadly defined. The Department is honored that this position, the only one allowed to UNCG in 2012-13, is a new line awarded to our department by the University of North Carolina's General Administration because of the department and university's emerging strength in genetic, biological, and neuropsychological factors underlying human development. Interviews of candidates for this position are in progress.
