MARITAL DYNAMICS IN DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE

Cheryl Buehler: I'm interested in how marital relations affect children's and adolescent's development in married and divorced families. My older work focused in the area of divorce, with more recent work focused on families with married parents (Buehler, Anthony, Krishnakumar, Stone, Gerard, & Pemberton, 1997; Buehler & Pasley, 2000; Buehler & Ryan, 1994; Buehler & Trotter, 1990; Ihnger-Tallman, Pasley, & Buehler, 1993; Krishnakumar & Buehler, 2000).

David Demo: My research focuses on the influences of divorce, family structure, and family relationships on the well-being of children and parents. I am particularly interested in how parent-child and parent-adolescent relationships change during family transitions and how these relationships influence children's and adolescents' development.
