Secondary Admissions Process
Admission to the department is a 2-step process. Students declare an HDF major through the Registrar's office and are then called "Pre-HDF" majors. Students should go to the Registrar's web site to the "Major changes" option (midway down the left side of the page). This allows students to declare or change their major.
In order to be eligible for admittance into the department as a full major, all students must complete the Secondary Admissions Form (docx) and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Students must complete the form, save it as an electronic file with their last name in the file name (e.g., AmySmith_admission_form_Aug2013.doc), and email it to the HDFS Undergraduate Secretary. Students will be notified via email of their acceptance or denial into the program. Please note that the Online Program in BK Licensure and Early Care and Education priority deadlines for secondary admission are November 15th for spring admittance and April 15th for fall admittance.
