Secondary Admissions Process
Admission to the department is a 2-step process. Students declare an HDFS major through the Registrar's Office Change of Major/Minor Form. Once students have declared an HDFS major, they are called "Pre-HDFS" majors.
In order to be eligible for admittance into the department as a full major, all students must complete the Secondary Admissions Form (docx) after meeting all requirements and email it to email@example.com.
Instructions for Secondary Admission
- Check the departmental criteria for admission (docx) to ensure that they meet all requirements for secondary admission.
- Complete the Secondary Admissions Form,
- Save it as a .doc or .docx file (not a PDF) with their last name in the file name (e.g., AmySmith_admission_form_Aug2013.doc),
- Email it as an attachment (not a Google Doc) to the HDFS Undergraduate Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students will be notified via email of their acceptance or denial into the program.
Please note that the priority deadlines for secondary admission in the online programs in BK Licensure and Early Care and Education are November 15th for spring admittance and April 15th for fall admittance.
