HES Advising Center

The mission of the HES Advising Center is to assist current and prospective undergraduate students within the School of Human Environmental Sciences in making informed decisions as they identify and pursue educational goals to enhance their personal and professional growth and development. We serve to support and empower students through the development and dissemination of knowledge, relationship development, and community engagement.

Populations We Serve

Though we currently advise freshmen pursuing majors in the Departments of Social Work and Human Development & Family Studies, we are also available to assist additional current or prospective undergraduate students exploring majors in HES.

Campus Location

We are located in 228 Stone.

Operating Hours

Our operating hours Monday through Friday are as follows:

  • 8:30-10:30am (walk-ins) Students are encouraged to stop by and receive advising assistance without having scheduled an appointment in advance.
  • 1:30-3:00pm (appointments only) Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment and meet with an advisor to receive advising assistance. (If you need immediate assistance and the HES Advising Center is not open, you may contact Jennifer Clark, Director of Student Services.)
