The School of Human Environmental Sciences is the regionally and nationally recognized institution in North Carolina for graduate work in the human sciences at the Masters and Doctoral levels. Specifically, the School is the only academic unit in North Carolina offering doctoral degree programs in Human Development and Family Studies and Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies, and is one of three North Carolina institutions offering the PhD in Nutrition. Master's degree programs are offered in each of the School's five departments, including a professional MSW in Social Work.

The Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies
