Scholarship Information and Frequently Asked Questions

In 1946, a group of forward thinking individuals, from across the State, partnered with the School to form the Human Environmental Sciences Foundation Board. Currently, the board's endowment surpasses five million dollars. As part of its endowment, numerous scholarships and fellowships have been established. HES is proud to award approximately 80 scholarships/fellowships each year in April during the Honors Reception.

To apply for a scholarship, students must complete the School of Human Environmental Sciences Scholarship Application. Completion of one application provides consideration for all funds. Each Fall, on or around November 15, applications are e-mailed to all enrolled HES students. Additionally, scholarship applications are available in each of the five academic departments and in the Dean's office. The deadline to return scholarship applications is generally the Friday of the first week of classes for the Spring semester. Recipients are notified in March or April of each year.
