Excellence Awards

At the University Excellence Awards Convocation in May, several HES faculty, staff, and students were honored for their teaching, research, and service including:

• Research Excellence Award: Dr. Susan Calkins, professor, HDFS
• Gladys Strawn Bullard Award for Service: Eugenia Brown, SWK Graduate Teaching
• Assistant Award: Swetha Chakravarthi, School of HES
• Outstanding Master's Thesis Award: Mary Julia Constance Moore, HDFS

Also at the Undergraduate Research/Creative Scholarship Presentations in May, student Steve Fordahl was recognized along with Dr. Keith Erikson in NTR for their work with Neurotoxic Manganese Accumulation Alters Gene Expression of Neurotransmitter Transport Proteins.
