Funding Opportunities

Internal Funding

The Office of Research and Public/Private Sector Partnerships provides intramural research support in the form of competitive grants for which faculty can apply. These funds are to be used to initiate or enhance research, scholarship, and creative activity to make faculty more competitive to obtain extramural funds. There are three types of intramural grants:

• New Faculty Research Grants. These grants are awarded to untenured, tenure-track faculty below the rank of professor in their first year of appointment.
• Regular Faculty Research Grants. These grants are awarded to tenured, tenure-track, and clinical and applied professional faculty.
• Summer Excellence Research Grants. These grants are awarded to untenured, tenure-track faculty and are used exclusively for summer salary.
