Current Research: Kinetic Awareness and Women with Breast Cancer

Kinetic Awareness is a body-mind practice. The goal of the study is to see if participation in the class can help reduce the side effects of breast cancer treatment, in particular, fatigue & sleeplessness, and whether it improves physical health, range of motion of the arm(s), and overall quality of life.

Study participants will take class sessions that help reduce tension in the body through simple movement exercises, including use of a pilates ball. After completing the seven week course, participants should be more aware of body problems & symptoms that are related to breast cancer treatment.

More information regarding future class sessions will be posted later.
