09-28-06 Bb 7.0 Chat and Virtual Classroom are working now.
09-11-06 Bb 7.0 Discussion Board bug
Thanks to Diane Gill, we have identified a bug in the discussions tool. Please note that you or your students may receive a "database error" when navigating from a discussion board. It's easy to get out of the error and back to where you want to be. Just click the appropriate button in the Course Menu. If you are using Bb Discussions, you might let your students know that this may happen to them. As far as I can tell, messages still post appropriately and can be viewed without any difficulty.
If I hear that this has been resolved, I will let you know. If you run into difficulties that prevent you or your students from doing the work you need to do, please let me know.
09-08-06 Bb 7.0 known issues from the Bb admin
ASSIGNMENTS - an instructor who forgets to put in the assignment name when creating an assignment will not be able to modify or delete the assignment. The students will not be able to access the assignment. -- [If you run into this, just create a new assignment.]
BROWSER - Some users may be unable to play multimedia files within Internet Explorer when SSL is enabled. (SSL is enabled at UNCG) -- [SSL=secure socket layer.]
EMAIL - The list of users on the Send Email page is presented alphabetically by first name -- [used to be last name]
GRADEBOOK - Instructors receive an error message when they click Submit from the View Grades page and a user has a ! for a grade. -- [As long as you go ahead and grade or just back out, I don't think this should be a problem.]
CONTENT SYSTEM - When modifying permissions for a content system item that was added through a course in the Learning System, an error message is displayed. -- [I doubt many of you are uploading files to the content system via a course.]

08-07-06 Bb 7.0 live as of 7:00 a.m. this morning.
You should notice few if any changes in the new version.
Please note that anything you changed in a Blackboard course between midnight, July 28th, and 7:00 a.m. August 7th, will NOT display on the new server. You will need to make these changes manually.
