Because Photo Story 3's text options are quite limited, some like to create their slide show in PowerPoint and then import the slides into Photo Story.
Caveat: Because the slides must be saved as images first, any animations or transitions that were in the PowerPoint show will be lost. If you wish lines of text to appear line by line, then create as many slides as you have lines that will display before saving your slides.

Export Slides from PowerPoint

Select File Save As and choose GIF next to Save as type.

PowerPoint will then display the following window. Click Every slide. You will then get a message identifying the folder and path where your images have been saved. (This folder can be found in the same folder as the PowerPoint presentation.)
