Audacity

• Free, easy-to-use, open source (no clickwrap problems) software for creating and editing audio files.
• Audio software of choice for podcasters.
• Use to create audio updates for a class, comments on assignments, interviews, and more.

• Recording quality is quite good when recording 1-2 people.
• See the iRiver handout for instructions on how to record, listen, download, and delete recordings.

• Free software for Internet telephony, i.e., for making calls from your computer over the Internet.
• Works in Windows and Mac environments.
• Supports text chat, audio, video, conference calls, file sharing.
