HHP Innovations Program (2003-2004)
At the beginning of the fall 2003 semester, Dean Perrin initiated the HHP Innovations Program to encourage HHP faculty to adopt instructional technology to enhance their teaching and learning missions. 34 faculty participated. Each faculty member was required to develop, implement, and assess a project. Upon completion, faculty members were awarded $500. to use for professional purposes. Cracker Barrel sessions were held to get the word out on the projects.
As a result of this project, there was a 25% increase in the use of online discussions and a 16-17% increase in use of multimedia for content presentation. Faculty who participated continued to use and extend their use of technology and many more faculty adopted it.
