Eligibility- Incoming freshman admitted to UNCG in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science.
- Graduate of the Montgomery County Public School system in Maryland .
- Leadership opportunities in physical education and extracurricular activities in high school.
Usual Size of Award: equivalent of out-of-state tuition, room and board.
HistoryThe Carol Jean Eiserer Memorial Scholarship fund was established in June 1986, in memory of Carol Jean Eiserer by her parents, Leonard A. C. Eiserer and Lorraine E. Eiserer.
Carol Jean EisererCarol Jean Eiserer graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (then the Woman's College) in 1964. For 22 years she was a loyal contributor to the Alumni Annual Giving Campaign of the University. The significance of the meaning of this scholarship is amplified by the fact that one month prior to her death in May 1986, while in the hospital, she directed her father to mail a check for $1,000 to the Annual Giving Program at UNCG.
