About the Quota Club
The Greensboro Quota club is an affiliate of Quota International. The women of the Greensboro Club meet monthly and engage in civic projects to help those in Greensboro and Guilford County. Because of the membership (some retired educators in K-12 and college/university), they are particularly devoted to projects which help future teachers and related professionals. "Quota International, founded in 1919, is an international service organization that links members of all ages, occupations, and nationalities in a worldwide network of service and friendship. With a motto of "we share," Quotarians are known especially for their service to deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals and disadvantaged women and children. Quota members share the values of serving and encouraging others, developing friendships, and promoting international understanding. Quota International is a global organization with service clubs in 14 countries. The organization has been operating clubs since its founding in 1919. Districts were added in 1933, and areas were added in 1972.
