CNNC Receives Excellence Award

The North Carolina Association for International Education (NCAIE) awarded CNNC their "Institutional Excellence Award" at their annual conference on March 13, 2009. The award announcement cited innovation and impact amongst its criteria for the award and is a tribute to all the people who have contributed to the mission of CNNC over the years. The plaque is now seated on top of the reception area at CNNC.


The NCAIE is composed of North Carolina educators at schools of higher education in fields related to study abroad, immigrant education, ESOL, and other fields addressing the global community and its connections to North Carolina. Approximately 120 people were in attendance at the conference which was hosted by UNCG this year. Tom Martinek, Jr. of the UNCG International Programs Center is the President Elect of the organization.
