What's New in Technology

HHP faculty are on the cutting edge of using technology in the classroom and studio, and for online distance education. UNCG Professor Takes Teaching Expertise to Circus School

Larry Lavender is running off to join the circus. But it’s only to teach there. And he’ll be back after a couple of days.
The head of the Department of Dance at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro has been invited to teach at the National Circus School in Montreal, which supplies dancers and other artists to circuses across the world, including the famed Cirque du Soleil. Etnier on the Doyle Report

Dr. Jennifer Etnier, associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology (formerly Exercise and Sport Science), studies exercise and its effects on brain functioning. She was interviewed in The Wall Street Journal (Aug. 20, 2005) on this topic.

More recently (Sept. 2), she discussed the academic benefits of physical activity among school children with David DeSchryver, managing editor of The Doyle Report, an e-newsletter that concentrates on education improvement and technology.
