Assets and Transactions Example

pizza.jpgCDs(2).jpgThis Quandary file demonstrates the use of Assets and Transactions for acquiring items.

There are three assets: Money Available, Pizza, and CD. The Money Available asset starts with $50. Pizza and CDs start with 0 of each. (There is a negative feedback message box for assets whose conditions can no longer be met - for instance when you are out of Money Available.)


Transactions set the value for the pizza and CD assets, change in value of the Money Available asset, and check to be sure the Money Available is still sufficient to make a purchase.

For example, every time a user selects a pizza, a transaction adds +1 to the Pizza asset and another transaction subtracts $10. from the Money Available asset.

Every time a user selects a CD, a transaction adds +1 to the CD asset and another transaction subtracts $20. from the Money Available asset.
