Loewenstein's Commissions in Greensboro

Loewenstein's work still has relevance to us today and tells of the forces that shaped suburban Greensboro after World War II. His fifty mid-century Modern houses communicate how Greensboro provided an enclave for alternative design alongside traditional homes. In his work, Loewenstein offered a progressive vision for the community through his quiet intervention on the landscape, carefully weaving together Greensboro's past and future. It is this legacy that we celebrate with this exhibit.
