The Gerontology Department at UNCG held a Waters of Life competition open to students across North Carolina. The competition is devoted to designers needs to develop new approaches to and increased awareness of issues of aging. The task was to design a prototype bathroom that can be adapted to the changing needs of the aging populace. Her are the Iarc winners: Susan Melton $1,000 First prize, Adam Gregory $500 Second prize, and Amanda Gordon $500 Third prize and April Lewis honorable mention.
