Deborah
Mertes
Deborah works for Edelman Leather in Atlanta. She has over 10 years sales experience in the Piedmont Triad residential
and contract furniture industry. Residential background includes experience
in the International sales division of LADD Furniture, and LA-Z-BOY Incorporated.
Deborah entered the contract furniture industry as a dealer salesperson
in June 2003 and has been with Knoll since August of 2005. Deborah
became a LEED AP in September 2008. She is currently serving as the
Chair of the Education and Program Committee for the NC Piedmont Triad Chapter
of the U.S. Green Building Council.
Deborah relocated to Greensboro in 1993 and worked in various administrative positions at UNCG prior to entering the furniture industry 1999. She has continually been involved in the community. Some of her past service includes Greensboro Chamber Presidents Ambassador and Summit Rotary Club. Deborah attended the Barbizon School of Fashion, Boston, MA and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
