Diane Picciuto was recently named Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in the Division of University Advancement at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

In her new role, Diane will be responsible for developing strategies to garner major gifts from corporations and foundations for the UNCG College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Human Environmental Science, the School of Music and the Weatherspoon Museum.  Diane will also provide management oversight of the UNCG Corporate Advisory Board and Annual Business Summit.

Diane most recently served as Director of Development at Winston-Salem State University where she had fundraising responsibility for the WSSU School of Business and Economics, the Computer Science Endowment, the Center for Design Innovation, and the Motorsport Management Program; she also managed the 30-member WSSU Board of Visitors.

Before relocating from New Jersey to North Carolina in 2005, Diane served as Executive Director of Morris Tomorrow, Inc., a private non-profit strategic planning and visioning organization which identifies regional issues to improve the quality of life in Morris County, NJ.  Prior, Diane was Manager of State and Civic Affairs at Nabisco, Inc. for more than a decade, where she oversaw the corporate government relations function and served as Nabisco’s corporate representative in the community.  She began her career as a scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.

Throughout her personal and work life, Diane has been heavily involved in volunteerism and has served on a variety of local, county, state and national organizations, including the Board of Trustees of County College of Morris in New Jersey and the U.S. Olympic Steering Committee. She was also affiliated with the Boards of First Night Morris, Hope House, a social service agency for clients with AIDS, and the steering committee of the Morris County of United Way Women’s Leadership Initiative.
