| The Asian Studies major (and second major) within the Regional Studies Concentration of IGS is intended for undergraduate students interested in pursuing an interdisciplinary study of the vast regions of East, Southeast and South Asia (mainland and maritime). |
Major: The Asian Studies major is a 30 semester hour major comprised of:
Second Major: Must meet the same requirements as Majors, with at least 12 hours taken outside the student's first major. Minor: Required to complete 18 hours including the foreign language requirement (6 hours), core courses (6 hours), and other international elective courses (6 hours). Please Note: *Until 300-level courses in Japanese and Chinese are routinely available at UNCG, students will be advised to complete the requirement by studying at one of our multiple study-abroad partnerships in Japan, China, Singapore, or Taiwan.
