This hall is located at the end of Gray Drive near the new School of Music. Phillips houses upper class men and women, while Hawkins is home to the International House. International House or I-House, as it is most commonly called, is home to students from all over the globe, from China to the UK, from Finland to Australia, as well as from the State of North Carolina. It is a residential community with an international twist. I-House is open to all students (freshmen to graduate students) with a particular interest in living with and learning about people from other parts of the world. Many of the American students who live in I-House have either just returned from a study abroad experience or plan to study abroad in the near future. However, a study abroad experience is not a requirement for American students living in I-House.  Students interested in enhancing their foreign language skills find the I-House a good place to practice with residented-native speakers.
