UNCG Jazz Trio Wins "Best Band" Title in Bucharest International Jazz Competition A UNCG jazz trio, Unit Three, participated in the Bucharest International Jazz Competition in Bucharest, Romania as part of EUROPAfest from May 7-13, 2010. Unit Three, composed of students Antonio Truyols, on piano, Daniel Faust, drums, and Joseph Dickey, bass, received the prize Best Band in the competition, equivalent to second place. Their participation in this contest was made possible with financial support from the School of Music, the International Programs Center, and Lloyd International Honors College. |
