On January 21-22, 2013, IPC was pleased to welcome Anelise Hofmann, IPC’s former Director of International Student and Scholar Services and current Coordinator of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges at Pontifíca Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR) in Paraná, Brazil. During her stay, she met with Dr. Penelope Pynes (IPC Associate Provost) and Dr. Catherine Holderness (Interim Director of UNC Exchange Programs) to discuss ways to increase study abroad and exchange opportunities between Brazil and the US.

Karl Galloway, a junior at UNCG and a student employee at UNCEP, was also in attendance. Anelise was his advisor while he was studying abroad at PUCPR during the Fall 2012 semester. He was glad for the opportunity to thank her again for her guidance during his time abroad and was excited to discuss possible exchange opportunities for others like him.
