HEAT (Higher Education Area Transit) is Greensboro’s college and university based public transportation system.  Students, faculty and staff ride for free with their UNCG First Card ID. HEAT, part of the GTA (Greensboro Transit Authority) local bus system, offers services in the vicinity of UNCG, including the neighborhood shopping center, and between nearby campuses as well.
