Admission to UNCG The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) seeks men and women with ability, character, motivation and the intellectual potential to meet UNCG standards of performance. UNCG's Admission decision is based upon an evaluation of the applicant's previous school records, including the overall Grade Point Average and standardized tests such as the TOEFL or SAT for Undergraduate admission or the GRE/GMAT and TOEFL as well as letters of recommendation for Graduate admission.

Admission Classifications - Those seeking admission as a Freshman, must have completed high school or the equivalent.
- Those seeking admission as a Transfer, must be well-qualified students with 30 academic semester hours or more of college credit from a regionally accredited institution. Students with less than 30 semester hours will be classified as Freshmen-transfers.
- Those seeking admission as a Graduate Student must have a Bachelors degree from a recognized, accredited college or university.
