Maintain Full-Time Enrollment
Undergraduate students MUST be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours per semester. Graduate students must be enrolled 6 credit hours, or register for "Thesis or Dissertation" courses if they have completed all relevant coursework and are working on thesis work on dissertation research. Make normal progress towards the completion of your degree (F-1 students) or while attending UNCG (J-1 students).
A student who finds it necessary to attend The University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) on a part-time basis must first obtain the approval of the International Programs Center. In this manner the International Programs Center ensures the authorization for the less than full-time enrollment is registered with the U.S. government. Also, the student must maintain satisfactory academic standing as defined in the university catalog.
Register for classes as soon as you arrive at UNCG or within one week from the start date of classes.
