University of Klagenfurt




The city of Klagenfurt is the capital city of Carinthia, the southernmost federal state of Austria. Klagenfurt has a population of about 100,000. The city center reflects the 800-year history with its Italian architecture. Many opportunities are available to experience the natural beauty of Carinthia in its many lakes, where you can participate in all types of water sports. The university itself is located on Lake Wörther.

ELIGIBILITY: Undergraduate and Graduate: Minimum 2 years college German (204 equivalent)
COURSES: Full curriculum: Opportunity for Music students to study at a conservatory
CREDIT: Up to 15 semester hrs. per semester (30 hrs. academic year)
COST: UNCG tuition and fees; housing/meals paid in Austria (approx. same as UNCG)
HOUSING: On campus room or flat
DATES: Academic year or Spring Semester: October-July, April-July
APPL. DEADLINES: February 15 fall semester, September 15 for spring semester
ACADEMIC NOTES: Preference is given to music majors with German Language
