Tartu Ulikool (University of Tartu, Estonia)

Estonia is one of the Baltic countries of Eastern Europe. It is located along the northeastern shore of the Baltic sea, just south of Finland, west of Russia and north of Latvia. Estonia has a population of 1.5 million people, roughly 64% of whom are ethnic Estonians, and 29% Russian. The city of Tartu, with a population of nearly 100,000 is the second largest in Estonia. Tartu is a university town and the cradle of Estonian culture. Up until 1936 the University of Tartu was the only establishment of higher education in the country. Today, it has over 12,000 students and 800 faculty members.

ELIGIBILITY: Undergraduate and Graduate
COURSES: GEC - Baltic Studies in English
CREDIT: Up to 15 semester hrs.
COST: All tuition and fees; housing/meals paid at UNCG
HOUSING: University housing - double rooms, single rooms may be available
DATES: One Semester (Fall or Spring)
