The mission of our office is 1) to promote and develop study abroad and
exchange opportunities for UNCG students and 2) to provide support services
for incoming international exchange students. We provide affordable
high-quality, semester or year-long study abroad programs in close to 40
countries worldwide.
Services and responsibilities we provide for UNCG students who wish
to study abroad include:
- Recruiting qualified
students for our various programs
- Helping students
find a suitable study abroad program
- Providing advising,
information and application materials for prospective exchange
students
- Helping students
through the application process and assisting them in finding
financial assistance
- Preparing students
for their exchange experience
- Supporting students
during their study abroad experience
- Aiding students in
the transfer of credit process
- Providing advising
once students have returned
Services and responsibilities we provide for incoming exchange
students from our partner universities:
- Administering the
exchange programs, coordinating the programs with our partner
universities and working with our international exchange students
throughout their experience at UNCG
- Admitting exchange
students and providing documents necessary for visa application (J-1)
- Providing academic
advising for students and serving as liaison to the various academic
departments
- Providing
orientation and social events for international exchange students
- Aiding students who
wish to work on campus or undertake an Academic Practical Training
