If you are a student at another U.S. institution who will be attending UNCG, please follow the transfer procedures, listed next:

• Complete the form: International Student Transfer IN Clearance Form (PDF)
• Please complete Section A. Request your current International Student Advisor completes Section B. Fax a copy to the completed form to the International Programs Center.
• Provide the International Programs Center with a copy of your letter of admission from UNCG and proof of current financial solvency. For details, select Financial Requirements.
• Request an appointment with an advisor at the International Programs Center.
• Bring your current passport, visa and I-20 from previous school to the appointment with the student advisor.

If you plan to travel outside the United States, while in transfer from their previous U.S. institution to UNCG, you will need an I-20 form from UNCG to reenter the United States.
If you are Out of Status at your current school, you must apply for reinstatement to student status after your SEVIS record is transferred to UNCG requesting a transfer. The International Student Advisor at your current school will be able to tell you if you are out of status.

If you are a student attending UNCG and you want to transfer to another U.S. institution, please follow the transfer procedures, listed next:

• Provide the International Programs Center with a copy of your letter of admission from the U.S. institution to which you plan to transfer.
• Complete the form:
  International Student Transfer OUT Clearance Form (PDF)
• Request an appointment with an advisor at the International Programs Center and bring your current passport, visa and I-20 form to the appointment.

Please note: We can only transfer your SEVIS record to one institution. The transfer can only take place after the end date of the current UNCG session.
