HHP HOLDS ITS 3RD ANNUAL HONORS BANQUET
FOR STUDENTS
GREENSBORO — Students in
various academic studies from the The School of Health and Human Performance
(HHP) at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro were recently recognized
for outstanding achievements during the School's Third Annual Honors Banquet
and Scholarship Recognition program held Tuesday, April 3.
In HHP, academic programs are offered through the Department of Communication
Sciences and Disorders, the Department of Dance, Department of Exercise
and Sport Science, Department of Public Health Education and the Department
of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism. Each spring the school recognizes students
who have demonstrated exemplary initiatives in some aspect of their career
development in these various departments. As a highlight of the program,
scholarship donors made the presentations to the student recipients.
This year's scholarship winners were:
Archdale - Angela Albertson, National Student Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (NSSHLA) Scholarship;
Asheboro - Lori C. Jones, Henry Weil Fellowship Scholarship;
Brown Summit - Kimberly L. Miller, Rosemary McGee Scholarship;
Charlotte - Holly Jamison, The Public Health Education Student
Initiative Award; Cheryl Armstrong, Henry Weil Fellowship Scholarship;
