PRESENT PAPERS IN AUSTRALIA

GREENSBORO -- Dr. Kevin B. Lowe and Dr. Bradley L. Kirkman, business administration faculty members at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, presented papers recently at an international conference in Australia.

Both were invited to take part in the keynote symposium of the Australian Industrial and Organizational Psychology Conference, held in Brisbane. Lowe’s topic was "The Effects of Demographic and Cognitive Diversity on Team Performance and Satisfaction: It’s How They Think, Not What They Look Like." Kirkman’s address was titled "The Impact of Team Heterogeneity on Team Empowerment Experiences and Team Effectiveness." They also spoke to faculty members at the University of Western Australia.

Lowe and Kirkman both joined the faculty of the Bryan School of Business and Economics in 1996. Lowe’s research interests include leadership, international human resource management and high performance work organizations. He received his Ph.D. degree in organizational behavior from Florida International University.

Kirkman’s research interests include work team effectiveness, international management, high performance work organizations and organizational change and development. A Greensboro native, Kirkman earned his Ph.D. degree in organizational behavior at UNC-Chapel Hill.
