POLITICAL SCIENTIST MAKES PRESENTATION
AT ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY WORKSHOP

GREENSBORO -- Dr. Susan J. Buck, an associate professor of
political science at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro,
was a presenter at the 1999 MacArthur Environmental Lectures,
Workshops and Roundtable.
The event, which took place at Bucknell University in
Pennsylvania, featured scholars from the United States and Canada. It
focused on such topics as moral principles and the future of
environmental law and policy.
Buck made a presentation during a workshop titled "Science and
Sustainable Environmental Policy."
A UNCG faculty member since 1988, Buck is a specialist in
environmental law and policy. She is author of two books,
"Understanding Environmental Administration and Law" and "The Global
Commons," and co-author of the book "Public Administration in Theory
and Practice." A graduate of the University of Florida, she received
her master's and doctoral degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute
and State University.
