IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MORGAN HORNER ELECTED PRESIDENT
OF WEATHERSPOON GALLERY ASSOCIATION

GREENSBORO -- Morgan W. Horner of Greensboro was elected
president of the Weatherspoon Gallery Association (WGA) for the
1999-2000 year at the group's annual meeting at The University of
North Carolina at Greensboro.
Serving as officers with Horner will be Miriam Barkley as
secretary, Russ McDonald as treasurer, Philip Richman as assistant
treasurer and Joan Gregory as historian.
Elected to the board of directors for terms ending in 2002
include Nancy Bryan, Evans Garber, Evalyn Gill, Rita Guyes, Michael
Henderson, Adelaide Holderness, Hubert Humphrey, Dacia King, Carol
Cole Levin, Gigi Renaud, Deborah Schandler, Flo Snider and Mary Alice
Wildman. Dr. Lenoir Wright of Greensboro was elected as a life
director.
WGA has approximately 500 members and provides support for
Weatherspoon Art Gallery's acquisitions activities.
