DR. KEITH CUSHMAN PRESENTS PAPER IN PARIS

GREENSBORO -- Dr. Keith Cushman, a professor of English at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, presented a paper titled "Ghosts and Fighting Celts in 'The Border-Line'" at the international D. H. Lawrence conference at the University of Paris.
Cushman is a specialist in British and American fiction. He joined the UNCG faculty in 1976. Cushman is associate editor of the D.H. Lawrence Review and is a past president of the D.H. Lawrence Society of North America, which presented him with its Harry T. Moore Award for lifetime contributions to Lawrence studies.
He is author of "D.H. Lawrence At Work" and was editor of Lawrence’s "Memoir of Maurice Magnus." He is co-editor of three other books, "D.H. Lawrence’s Literary Inheritors," "The Challenge of D.H. Lawrence" and "The Letters of D.H. Lawrence and Amy Lowell, 1914-1925."
At UNCG, he was director of the Honors Program for seven years and won the university’s 1991 Research Excellence Award. Cushman was a Fulbright Tutor at Patna University in Bihar, India, in 1964-65. A graduate of Harvard University, he received his doctorate from Princeton University.
