GREENSBORO -- Wilson M. Davis, retired director of the University News Service at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, recently received the H. Lewis Gaston Award from the College News Association of the Carolinas (CNAC).
The annual award recognizes a member’s service to CNAC and accomplishments in public relations in higher education. Davis received the award during CNAC’s summer conference in Winston-Salem in July.
Davis, who retired from UNCG in December, was director of the News Service for 31 years. He is a longtime member of CNAC and a former member of its board of directors.
