UNCG Dance Calendar Announced for 2002-2003

GREENSBORO--The Dance Department at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro will open its 2002-2003 season on Sept. 18-21 with the North Carolina Dance Festival.

During the year, the department will stage a variety of performances, including events showcasing faculty and student choreography. A special Alumni Concert is  set for Sept. 28 as part of Fall Fest.

All concerts begin at 8 p.m. in the UNCG Dance Theater, which is located in the Health and Human Performance Building on Walker Avenue at Kenilworth Street. Ticket prices will vary from event to event. For reservations and ticket information, call the University Box Office at (336) 334-4849. The dance schedule  is as follows:

• Sept. 18-21, N.C. Dance Festival,
• Sept. 28, Alumni Concert,
• Oct. 30-Nov. 2, John Gamble Dance Theatre,
• Nov. 13-16, Faculty Concert,
• Dec. 6-7, Fall Departmental Concert,
• Feb. 7-8, 2003, Prime Movers Student Concert,
• Feb. 14-15, 2003, Eluza Santos concert,
• Feb. 27-March 1, 2003, Jan Van Dyke Dance Group,
• April 25-26, 2003, Spring Departmental Concert,
• May 2-3, BFA Senior Thesis Concerts.    #####
