DEMO NAMED FELLOW OF NATIONAL COUNCIL
GREENSBORO -- Dr. David Demo, professor and chair in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at

A social psychologist, Demo has conducted extensive research on family structure and relationships and their effects on children’s well being. He has co-written or co-edited five books on the family, including his most recent, Handbook of Family Diversity, published in 2000 by Oxford University Press. In announcing the fellowship, the newsletter from the National Council on Family Relations cited Demo's work as " … widely considered to be at the cutting-edge of contributions that advance scholarship and have potential impact on family life education and policy."
Demo joined the faculty of UNCG in 1996. He received his doctorate from Cornell University.
