Elkins, who is from Montana, will spend the year at the Zentrum fur Kunst and Mediatechnologie (Center for Arts and Media Technology / ZKM) in Karlsruhe, Germany. The center is one of the world's major institutions to merge and bridge contemporary art forms with technology. Through the Fulbright Program, she will be in Germany from Sept. 29 to mid- July, 2001. Included in the award are travel expenses and a stipend to cover living  expenses.
