Celebrate Culture at UNCG’s International Festival April 17
GREENSBORO –The International Students Association and the International Programs Center will hold the 22nd Annual International Festival, Saturday, April 17, at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Visitors can travel around the "Global Village" from noon to 5 p.m. at the Dining Hall fountain area, and interact with interesting people from around the world. They can practice a language, try international foods, participate in folk dances, games and songs.
“I-Fest” is a cultural festival intended to educate and entertain. Admission
is free and open to the public. More than 3,000 visitors attended last
year.
Upon arrival, event-goers can obtain an official ISA passport from
the Passport Control and at each of the "countries" visited the passport
will receive a unique stamp. Kids will have the opportunity to participate
in a Country Scavenger Hunt. There will be live entertainers representing
cultures from around the world and more than 40 international merchant
and cultural booths.
Presentations will be made by current UNCG international students and audience participation is encouraged. A list of performers, venders and country booths will be available at www.uncg.edu/ipg/isa in late March. For more information, contact Anelise Hofmann at 334-5404.
