KOHLENBERG ELECTED PRESIDENT OF STATE NURSING FOUNDATION

GREENSBORO -- Dr. Eileen Kohlenberg, assistant dean of the School of Nursing at The University of North Carolina at

Greensboro, has been elected president of the North Carolina Foundation for Nursing, and will serve a two-year term through 2003. The organization works to support nursing research and scholarships for students.

Kohlenberg is also president of Gamma Zeta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor society for nurses. She is director of academic programs in graduate study at the School of Nursing. Kohlenberg began teaching at UNCG in 1985 as a visiting professor, and joined the faculty in 1990. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
