MUCHINSKY BOOK GETS KOREAN TRANSLATION
GREENSBORO--Dr. Paul M. Muchinksy’s “Psychology Applied to Work: An Introduction to Industrial and Organizational Psychology” is an international hit with colleges and universities, and the textbook has just been translated into Korean—its fifth language—and released.
The book is the most widely used on the subject of industrial/organizational psychology. Approximately 300 campuses in the United States use it in both business and psychology courses. Thomson Learning International publishes it and other translations are in Chinese, French and Spanish.
At The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Muchinsky is the Joseph M. Bryan Distinguished Professor of Business. A nationally known industrial/organizational psychologist, he teaches in the Department of Business Administration of the Bryan School of Business and Economics. His area of specialization is human resource management, with particular interest in personnel selection and compensation. He was elected a Fellow of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, which is a division of the American Psychological Association.
Before coming to UNCG in 1993, Muchinsky was on the faculty at Iowa State University. He has served as editor of “The Industrial Organizational Psychologist,” a nationally recognized professional journal, and also served on the editorial boards of numerous other professional publications. He holds the Ph.D. degree from Purdue University.
