Thomas R. Sloan Re-Elected Chair of UNCG Trustees
GREENSBORO—Business executive Thomas R. Sloan of Greensboro has been re-elected chair of the Board of Trustees at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Sloan, who is chairman and CEO of Southern Optical Company in Greensboro, was re-elected to a one-year term as chair. Sue W. Cole, of U.S. Trust Company of North Carolina, was re-elected vice chair. Kenneth C. Mayer Jr. of Greensboro, a partner with the architectural firm of Moser, Mayer, Phoenix and Associates, PA, was re-elected secretary. Two other trustees, Karen McNeil-Miller and Linda Carlisle of Greensboro, were elected to the board's executive committee.
